Where is Liz?

Weather today? Looks good to me!

Hey everybody, welcome to the James Exchange. If it is early, Liz must be doing something. Today we didn’t get a weather report, but what a stunning sunrise.

I hear there is something special going on downtown on East Main Street this morning. I can’t tell you because I took the oath of silence! But, keep your eyes on stuff happening on this fine Saturday morning.

As always, if you have a song, a story, an event—speaking of which have you purchased your tickets to “Dear Jack, Dear Louise”? It is the latest production of the Victory Hall Players!

At the Theater:

Two shows to go! Tonight at 7:30 and tomorrow (3.2) at 3:00. Get your tickets.

More music coming your way…Friday, March 7 at 8:00 pm…Jeremy Short will be in the house! He has something for everyone. Get your tickets.

Check him out!

A little bit Marvin Gaye, a little bit Pink Floyd and a little bit Tyler Childers, Jeremy Short’s jam-fueled Appalachian soul music proves that there’s a lot more than country and bluegrass music radiating from the Eastern Kentucky mountains. Short’s epic tales will leave you dancing with jubilation one moment and crying the next. His unique blend of Appalachian soul music is incredibly effective and authentic because Appalachia is such an integral part of his own soul, and always will be.”

Calling All Artists:

SCAN has a GALLERY at 460 Valley Street! Ribbon cutting is on March 20 at noon. And, they need ART. Deadline is next Saturday. Apply here. The theme is “Arts and Nature.”

Again, if you have a song, a story, an event or an issue you would like to discuss, perhaps it is time for a conversation.
