All Systems Go for Scottsville's Tiger

Gordon Sutton, Tiger Fuel CEO, gives an update on The Market, the shopping center, and some interesting ideas for the Dawson property.

Welcome to the James Exchange, lots going on in Scottsville.

First, the Planning Commission vote on Echelon Resources’ project, Scottsville Lofts of 205 apartments, moves to Town Council on a 3 to 1 vote in favor. Commissioners Dan Gritsko, Matthew Johnson, and Shannon Strassner voted in favor. Molly Angevine voted against. Town Council will now go through the same steps that the Planning Commission took with scheduling a public hearing on the application. What are the pros and cons? I will take a deeper dive on this in a later podcast.

Second, for the first time in Scottsville’s history, the Town Council election moved outside the town. Final results are still unknown. However, according to Virginia’s Board of Elections the final count is Dan Gritsko-98, Meredith Hynes-116, and write-ins-140. Once write-ins are announced, I’ll be back.

Third, Gordon Sutton and all things Tiger.
