Buckingham School Board to hold special meetings on hiring of Superintendent

Good afternoon Scottsville and beyond. This is a James Exchange report on Scottsville’ town council meeting and the Buckingham School Board. I am your host, Nancy Gill.

Scottsville Town council met last night for their monthly public meeting. They held two public hearings on the Bird and Blenheim proposed housing projects. They deferred voting until their meeting in February to give time for the newly appointed councilors Hynes and Bessette to study the proposals more closely since they are both relatively new to the council.  Two additional special use permits will be scheduled for public hearings at the February meeting.

Several questions have been raised over the past few months on a variety of concerns. Justin Shimp, representative of the property owner, and councilors Bullock and Gritsko commented to these concerns.

The Central Virginia Regional Housing Partnership is hosting a Missing Middle Housing webinar on Thursday, January 20. This is open to the public. This is the third of four webinars offered by These webinars are through the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission and past meetings are available for viewing.
